THE PORT

İsdemir Port is the Mediterraneans largest bulk solid and general cargo port. Located at the İskenderun Gulf, 22 km to İskenderun and 4 km to the motorway and E91 highway, the Port is connected directly to the national railway system.

İsdemir Port meets all of the plants needs and uses a significant part of its capacity to serve the national and regional industry and trade.

The Port has an area of 1,072,248 m² secured completely with a fence in accordance with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code.

Maritime Services

At İsdemir Port, Pilotage and Towage services are provided under the Ports administration. The vessel fleet includes 4 30-ton,2 60-ton towboats, 2 20-knot pilot boat and 3 mooring boats. Completing the service network, maritime services provide 24-hour uninterrupted towage and pilotage services under the supervision of expert maritime pilots.

Waste is collected from vessels in accordance with MARPOL 73/78 Annex 1, 4 and 5 upon a request made via their agency.

Loading, Unloading and Terminal Services

Operational 24 hours a day, the İsdemir Port provides its services in three shifts. The Port is equipped with all kinds of handling machinery and equipment.

İsdemir Port is positioned to serve a large region of our country and commercially operates its existing capacity not required by İsdemir, contributing to the regional and national economy.

The Port can serve 180,000 DWT vessels for bulk cargo and offer safe and fast handling services for requesting customers for all types of vessels including those with a size of 60,000 DWT.

Besides meeting the port-related needs of surrounding industrial establishments, the Port also responds to service requests from the provinces of Antakya, Adana, Mersin, Osmaniye, Kayseri, Nevşehir, Niğde, Ankara, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, Malatya and Elazığ. All kinds of loading/unloading, terminal and temporary storage services are also provided for transit cargo.

Customs Services

Customs Services are provided by the Customs Directorate located within the premises of İsdemir.

Outdoor and indoor storage areas are available.

Security Services

İsdemir Port implements the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code. Accordingly, the Port premises are protected by a special security organization.

LABORATORY

Refractory materials used in the iron and steel industry, raw materials, ancillary raw materials, in-process intermediate and finished products and all chemicals admitted into our plants are analyzed at our laboratories.

Our laboratories hold a TS EN ISO/IEC 17025 certificate and are capable of providing our customers with the following services:
